Staircase FAQs
Do you make the staircase yourselves?
Replacement staircases are usually manufactured to exact measurements by a specialist stair maker and then fitted on site by GT Joinery. Antonio takes the measurements, works out the details with you and handles the installation and finishing.
Can you just replace the spindles and handrail?
Yes. If the stair itself is sound, replacing the balustrade – newel posts, spindles and handrail – is a cost-effective way to completely change the look of a hallway.
How long does a staircase replacement take?
It depends on the staircase and the property, but a straightforward replacement is usually a matter of days rather than weeks. Antonio will give you a realistic timescale when he comes to measure up.
